GPs are going to be under increasing scrutiny as they take on commissioning powers. I've been compiling any data I've found at http://www.delicious.com/paulb/data+GP and http://www.delicious.com/paulb/database+GP but would welcome any more suggestions. |

There looks to be a list of GP surgeries at http://www.gpcontract.co.uk/ There's a data download link here: http://www.gpcontract.co.uk/download.php though I'm not sure exactly what the data files contain? It may be worth uploading them to Google Fusion Tables? |

Fan-bloody-tastic. I have been trying to find a way to scrape the QOF database for some time, but it's full of javascript/ASP trickiness. No indication who did this? |

The NHS "Prescribing Data by Practice" datasets [ http://www.ic.nhs.uk/services/transparency/prescribing-by-gp-practice ], which look as if they are going to be made available on a monthly basis?, come along with a supporting file that contains practice codes, names, addresses. |
